Planning for TEDxISPP 2016

We have submitted our application to renew our TEDxISPP License for our second TEDxISPP event, which we have put on the calendar for 26 November 2016 in the Black Box Theatre. Sopheak Vong, our co-Organizer in 2015, is already polling our community to determine our theme for 2016 and here are the results thus far: Want to add your voice? Complete the survey here . ISPP hosted our first ever TEDxISPP event on November 14th with the theme "Made in the Future," inspired by TEDYouth 2015 . Our aim was to give youth in Phnom Penh a voice, and to bring student ideas into meaningful conversations. In addition to our own students, we invited student speakers from Liger Learning Center , Northbridge , and Logos . Next year we hope to also include students from the Cambodian Children's Fund . Collaborative research template for Google Docs

When you are trying to answer a big question, there are often so many areas to research that developing an intelligent answer that considers a wide variety of information and perspectives can be overwhelming. Researching in teams and dividing the topics for research can be a great way to gather resources and learn more in less time. In education, we call this the jigsaw method . This video shows a method for setting up a Google Doc so that groups or individuals can research different topics and share a summary of their findings with the whole team. Each team member can then review the summaries and engage in discussion over the topics so that everyone can bring all the research topics together and build a thoughtful and informed personal answer to the big question.
