Circles are not the same as friends and followers on other social media sites. With other social media there is an approval process. With Circles there is not. It is similar (but different) to Instagram, where you can accept followers without following them, and follow people without allowing them to follow you. It is unlike Facebook, where Friendship is mutual. Here's a haiku about Google+ Circles  Circles: they let you  control whose posts you see, and  who sees what you post. Google can help you find times when you and the people you would like to meet with are available (provided, of course, that you and your colleagues enter your schedules in your calendar*). Click on the date and approximate time you would like to meet. Add a title for the meeting in the 'what' box and click edit event.  Enter the name(s) of the colleagues you would like to meet with in the 'Guests' box. Suggestions will load based on your contacts. Select and click 'Add'. You can either click on 'Suggested times' for a list of times you are all available  Or you can click on 'Find a time' to view your calendars.  Once you have found a time, you can set privacy, reminders, and other details. When you click save, you will be provided the opportunity to send invitations to guests.  *For teachers with a complicated schedule rotation, entering teaching schedules is too time consuming to make it worth it. Tired of going to the school website to see the school calendar? It's easy to add it to your Google calendar. Go to  https://www.google.com/calendar  (sign in as needed) Click the down arrow next to 'Other calendars'  Choose 'Add by URL'  Copy this URL ( U niversal R esource L ocator) and paste it in the box provided: https://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/marketingispp%40gmail.com/public/basic  You can now show or hide this calendar by clicking on it in your 'Other Calendars' list.
