By default, your Blogger profile is public. If you are a G+ user (Grades 9 and up -only for 13 years old and older), follow these privacy instructions . If you have a limited Blogger Profile (for students in Grade 8 or under) to make it private, follow these steps: Click on your picture at the top right and select "Blogger Profile"  If you get a page that says the profile not available, your profile is already private.  If there is an Edit Profile button, click it.  Make sure all the privacy boxes are UNticked  Scroll all the way down to save your changes.   Your profile is now private.

We have submitted our application to renew our TEDxISPP License for our second TEDxISPP event, which we have put on the calendar for 26 November 2016 in the Black Box Theatre. Sopheak Vong, our co-Organizer in 2015, is already polling our community to determine our theme for 2016 and here are the results thus far: Want to add your voice? Complete the survey here . ISPP hosted our first ever TEDxISPP event on November 14th with the theme "Made in the Future," inspired by TEDYouth 2015 . Our aim was to give youth in Phnom Penh a voice, and to bring student ideas into meaningful conversations. In addition to our own students, we invited student speakers from Liger Learning Center , Northbridge , and Logos . Next year we hope to also include students from the Cambodian Children's Fund . When you are trying to answer a big question, there are often so many areas to research that developing an intelligent answer that considers a wide variety of information and perspectives can be overwhelming. Researching in teams and dividing the topics for research can be a great way to gather resources and learn more in less time. In education, we call this the jigsaw method . This video shows a method for setting up a Google Doc so that groups or individuals can research different topics and share a summary of their findings with the whole team. Each team member can then review the summaries and engage in discussion over the topics so that everyone can bring all the research topics together and build a thoughtful and informed personal answer to the big question. Research teams will have discussions while completing their section of the document, and they usually divide the work further -perhaps each person chooses certain questions to focus on, or each person finds a differ...

The Secondary floor of the Knowledge Center now has a Media Studio with a green wall.  The green paint extends to adjacent walls so media creators can get corner shots. The green screen feature is  easy to use in iMovie . Students record video in front of the screen/wall, import into iMovie, layer it over a different video clip or image, and apply the green screen effect. Meaningful integration ideas include creating newscasts set during historical events, advertising a product with student created background, setting scenes that give purpose for speaking in different languages, building conceptual understanding of time and place, experimenting with the role of context, and defying laws of physics. Community members can book the Media Studio by going to their calendars, creating an event, clicking on rooms to the right next to guests, and scrolling to KC - SS Media Lab.  Here's a video about booking rooms for events .
