Embedding media in your blog or Site
There are many options for sharing media in your blog by getting the embed code and editing your post using HTML.
I do not recommend using the built in Blogger video upload function at this date in history because I find it crashes and the display is small, but you can try if you like!
With the new Google Sites, you can use the menu on the right to select the file you would like to embed, you do not need to get the embed code.
Get the embed code (YouTube, Google Presentations / Docs, Movies uploaded to Drive)
And here is a video on changing the privacy of your video:

With the new Google Sites, you can use the menu on the right to select the file you would like to embed, you do not need to get the embed code.
Get the embed code (YouTube, Google Presentations / Docs, Movies uploaded to Drive)
- On YouTube, click on share, embed, and then command C (on PC control C) to copy the code
- On Google Presentations / Docs, go to File, Publish to the web, set privacy (only ISPP or the world), and click command c to copy embed code.
- On videos and images uploaded to Google Drive, open the file, click on the three dots for more actions, choose Open in new window.
- Click on the three dots again and choose 'embed item'. This option will only appear after the video has finished processing. Click command c to copy the embed code. Make sure your sharing is set to anyone with the link or anyone at ISPP (or whatever is appropriate).
- Have a different source? Try to figure it out, or ask for help! Other tricks to share? Post a comment!
Edit your blog in HTML!
- Once you are editing a post, by default you will be in Compose mode. but you can click back and forth between compose and HTML to suit your editing needs with the buttons at the top left of your screen. Don't worry if you don't know HTML! All you have to do is figure out where to paste your code in HTML mode. The rest can be done in Compose mode.
- This is what the HTML for this section of this post looks like (I added the numbers at each line):
- <b><u>Edit your blog in HTML!</u></b></div>
- <div>
- <br /></div>
- <div>
- <ol>

- </ol>
- </div>
- You can tell where you are on the post because your words appear. You can see on line one the heading for this section with <b> (bold) and <u> (underline) tags.
- Go to the place where you want to put your media, click enter to give yourself a codeless line, and click command V (control V on PC) to paste your code.
- When you click back to Compose mode, you will see your media!
