Sharing has changed in Google Drive

Now when you share in Drive, the default window allows you to add someone, but not to view details or edit current settings. Have no fear, the "Advanced" button will show you more of your power! Remember to review your sharing settings and maintain appropriate privacy!

Enable (or disable) Java Script in Chrome

You can enable or disable Java Script in Chrome. First go to Chrome --> Preferences Then scroll down and click on Show Advance Settings Click on Privacy --> Content Settings Choose to allow Java Script (or not) Click Done, and you're done :)

Blog Comment Settings

By default, Blogger requires Word Verification for blog comments. This prevents spam comments, but also prevents some people from making comments, and slows down the commenting process. You can turn off word verification by going to your Blog Settings   Choosing Posts and Comments on the left And selecting No for Word Verification You can also require people to be signed in to make comments, this is good for communities so that we know who is talking. The setting is also in Posts and Comments. We recommend selecting 'Registered User.'

Embedding Slideshows in Blogger

You might not know it, but when you put a photo into a Blogger post, it automatically gets uploaded to a  Picasa Web Album . Picasa is Google's image editing and sharing platform, and it exists as both a website and software you can install to manage photos on your computer. Because we are using Google Apps accounts for many of our day-to-day needs, you already have an account for the Picasa website. If you use Blogger, you likely have photos there already! Check it out ! GUIDE: How to embed a Picasa slideshow in a Blogger post! Upload photos to a new album. Under My Photos, click the upload button. Make sure to give your album a name! Perhaps the name of your iPhoto event, if you used my previous guide for shrinking photo file sizes.  Select the photos you want to be in the slideshow. Shrinking Image File Sizes for Use on the Web

Staying after school to try put a few photos on the web, only to have it take ages to upload? Hearing from parents that the photos on your blog take forever and a day to load? We've got a solution for you! Photos taken from most digital cameras, even from class iPads, are a lot bigger than they seem. This is to preserve image quality in case these images are being used for big publications. "Raw" images from 5MP+ (megapixel)  cameras are especially large when you copy them to the computer, usually around 3MB (3000KB) for our school cameras. Yet most websites do not need this level of detail, and a typical image on a website is less than 100KB in file size to ensure smooth browsing and no wasted uploading time.
