Using Google Slides and iMovie to Make a Movie-Book

This post will guide you through using Google Slides and iMovie to make a movie-book.

Step 1: Write your story and gather your media.

You can use images you find in a creative commons image search, or make your own images by taking photographs, sketching and photographing your sketches, or editing images using programs like Piktochart or Pixlr.

Step 2: Use Google Slides to craft your book pages

  • Use right click and 'order' to change the layering of your images and text boxes.
  • Use the formatting tools to change your font, text size, text colour, and even the colour of your textbox
  • You can also change the background, theme, and layout
  • When your pages are ready, choose File--> Download as-->JPEG. You will need to do this for each page.

Step 3: Make your movie-book! Go to iMovie, make a new movie, import your images, put them in order, add the page turning transition, and record a voice over with page turning sound effects.
